I set up a simple direction in the first beginning: since this is a cloud that can be covered on all kinds of stuffs, for instance a pile of books or a corner of boxes, so it has to be formed with components in order to handle different irregular surfaces.
Next I use clay to explore the organic forms that can simulate the shape of the fluffy clouds. I tried to make it roundish but flow lined when we see it individually, and united but dynamic when it gathers together as the real clouds.
The hardest part is to make several silicone molds to duplicate the female die, boil the textile with starch water, and bake it in order to form it. I experimented twelve kinds of textiles in total with different volumes, colors, tactility. In the end three of them were picked to express the diversity of clouds as a series.
